As with previous readings of this author K.J. Charles, I’m yet again enthralled. Her ways with words allow me to escape to her London in the 1800s. This monochrome moral view of ethics and odd morality reminds us that our world has not changed much. I’ve become an unapologetic fan. I slip so effortlessly into the period

Gobbling up another of this author’s work, I’m reminded again of how this author’s ways of developing a storyline draws on this reader’s imagination.

How to (Not) Train a Firecat

I’ve articulated before that this author is a master at weaving fairy tales for adults. This short story is a small sample of why I enjoy R Cooper’s work.  I entered her legion of fans after reading a few of her earlier works in this genre of adult storybooks with dreamlike characterizations.  Scenes of dramatic love are animated and delectable.
